2019 is starting out to be a busy year for me, I currently have a lot of work
out on exhibit:
This February I have a number of pieces in a group show at Artists' Gallery. Along with me, this show features Laura Rutherford Renner, Claudia Fouse Fountain, and Annelies van Dommelen - it's a show of long last names!
This is not a show of new work for me - I am showing a mixture of pieces from the past couple of years. My big show at Artist' Gallery won't be until November, so this might be the most work that I have up until that time.
"ConneXions" runs February 7 through March 3, with an opening reception on Sunday, February 10, 1-4 pm at:
Recently, almost all of my inspiration for painting comes from the hikes that I've been doing around northern New Jersey and southern New York state. The New York-New Jersey Trail Conference is the organization that builds and maintains so many of the trails that I enjoy using. They built the first section of the Appalachian Trail in 1923 and have been going strong ever since.
"Winter Trek" is a group show being held at the Trail Conference headquarters in the historic Darlington Schoolhouse. The show features artwork celebrating winter scenes along their trails. I have 2 paintings in this show and my painting "Winter at Stephens" was awarded First Place in the Fine Art category.
The show runs January 11 - March 5, 2019 at:
Trail Conference Headquarters, 600 Ramapo Valley Road, Mahwah, NJ
It's a long drive, but there's some good hiking nearby if you do go.
I'm happy to be exhibiting my work at Bell's Tavern once again. I am showing a mix of recent work, and some earlier pieces.
