During the month of September I'm having a 2-man show at Artist's Gallery with J. Stacy Rogers. Stacy is a painter of people - whether formal portraits, or scenes of people going about their daily lives, it's rare to see a painting by Stacy that's not primarily about people. I, as you already know, focus on the landscape and it's rare to see a single human figure in any of my work. Our show is titled "Faces and Places", and pardon the pun, but between the two of us, this show paints a pretty complete portrait of the region: it's landscapes and it's people.

I hope you can make it to the opening, and if you haven't been to Lambertville lately, please note that you have to feed the parking meters until 9pm. The town recently changed this from 6pm to 9pm. But Artists Gallery is the last street with parking meters, and you can park for free 1 block north of the gallery and beyond.

Hurricane Hanna or not, the opening will go on, but use your best judgment in coming out that night, of course. I will also be at the gallery the following day, Sunday, Sept 7 from 11am - 6pm.

Also this month: New Hope Arts invited select artists who have exhibited there over the past year to be part of a group show called "Selections". This show runs from Sept 4 through Sept 28 and I'll be exhibiting along with a dozen other artists. Opening reception is also Saturday, Sept 6 from 7 to 9pm, but I'll be across the river at Artists' Gallery that evening for my 2-man show.

New Hope Arts is at 2 Stockton Ave, New Hope Pa, on the corner of Stockton & Bridge Streets, 2nd floor [map & directions]. Gallery hours: Thursday thru Sunday, 12 - 5pm, open until 8pm on Saturdays.
