Throughout the month of May, I’m having a 2-man show with Marc Reed at the Artists’ Gallery in Lambertville, NJ. The show runs from May 5 through June 4, the opening reception is Saturday, May 6 from 6pm to 9pm. The gallery is open every Friday, Saturday & Sunday from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
Since I’m still pretty new to the idea of putting my work in art galleries, this is the best opportunity I’ve had to date for showing a large number of my paintings. If I’ve planned my wall space well, I’ll have 21 paintings on display: a number of the small plein air works I did over the past year, and some of my larger studio paintings. As you know from my web galleries, my work focuses on the the rural side of Hunterdon, Somerset and Mercer counties in central New Jersey. |
Marc Reed usually looks toward the urban landscape, although in this show, he is returning to his roots with a series of plein-air oil paintings including some less-citified scenes of the area. In addition to being a talented painter, Marc’s recent documentary film almost gone (featuring images from his award-winning photo documentary) has been accepted to various 2006 indie film festivals. |
| Between both of us, this 2 man show covers the diverse spectrum of our local landscape, and reminds us how beauty can be found in everything around us. I hope to see you there. |
