April News
I’m happy to say that I’ve had 2 paintings accepted into the Ellarslie Open XXIV this year. Ellarslie is the Trenton City Museum and is my favorite local place to see art, so it’s a thrill to have 2 pieces accepted into the show this year. The opening reception is Saturday April 22 from 5 to 8 pm. (5-6 pm is for museum members only, but you can sign up at the door.) The show runs until June 11.
The Ellarslie Mansion was built in 1848, has gorgeous wood floors, very high ceilings, big windows, and is set in a park designed by Fredrick Law Olmsted, the designer of NYC’s Central Park. It’s well worth a visit.
In a short while I’ll be part of a 2-man show the Artists’ Gallery in Lambertville, NJ. The opening reception for that show will be on Saturday May 6, and I’ll be sending another newsletter devoted to that very soon.
Here’s one of the paintings that will be in the show at Ellarlie. The other painting is a small 8x10" oil, but you’ll have to visit the show to see that one.
